FAQ

WHAT IS MICROBLADING?
Microblading is a permanent makeup technique performed with a hand tool and a type of blade made with tiny needles dipped into pigment and implanted in the skin to simulate the look of individual hairs.  Hair strokes are placed one at a time filling gaps and sparse areas,

WHAT IS THE PRICE FOR MICROBLADING?
Microblading is $375.  This includes a 6 week touch-up which is necessary for ALL permanent makeup procedures.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
Allow 2-2 1/2 hours for microblading appointment.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Microblading can last anywhere from one to three years, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, and the facial products that you use. However, touch-ups are commonly needed about once a year, especially for those who wish to keep the color looking fresh.

WHAT IS A POWDER BROW?
Powder Brows is also a permanent makeup technique performed with a permanent makeup machine using a single nano needle skidded across the skin at a low vibration which causes the pigment to be implanted in a very soft, powdery effect.  It simulates the look of brow powder. If you would like more structure and shape to your eyebrows and have a good amount of eyebrow hair, this is the perfect technique to make your own brow hair look more dense. Powder Brows are perfect for all skin types.  This technique can be used to achieve a very natural or dramatic look.

WHAT IS THE PRICE FOR POWDER BROWS ?

Powder Brows -$400  This includes a 6 week touch-up which is necessary for ALL permanent makeup procedures.

HOW LONG IS AN APPOINTMENT FOR POWDER BROWS?

Allow 3 hours for Powder Brows.

HOW LONG DO POWDER BROWS LAST?

Like all permanent makeup, how long the color lasts depends on skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure and facial products you use.  The average is 2-4 years.  Many people like a color boost every 12-24 months to keep the color looking fresh.

WHICH IS MORE NATURAL MICROBLADING OR POWDER BROWS?
Most people assume that microblading is a more natural look.  Actually, it depends on each individual as to which technique will look most natural.  Many people prefer the combination of the two techniques which is called Blade & Shade.  Microblading is added so the look of hair is seen in the brows and the look of powder is also added, which gives more dimension, making the hair-strokes look more dense.

WHAT IS COVERED IN A CONSULTATION?

Every Permanent Makeup appointment begins with an in-depth consultation discussing your daily routine with your brows.  Do you fill your brows in daily? Do you use a pencil, powder or pomade? How often do you wax or tweeze? Do you have eyebrow hair that may continue to grow in to add to your shape?  What exactly do you want to accomplish from the procedure, a more defined shape, a little more color to your face, better symmetry, fuller brows or to never have to wear brow makeup again?

Your face is measured, marked and eyebrows are drawn on with a colored brow pencil outlining the shape that is best suited to your bone structure and facial features.  You will be asked to preview them to suggest any adjustments you would like to see.  Adjustments are made until you are happy with the shape.

IS A SEPARATE CONSULTATION APPOINTMENT NECESSARY?

No.  We prefer to do the consultation at the time of appointment.

HOW DO YOU DECIDE THE SHAPE?

Your brow artist will take several measurements of certain parts of your face. Taking into account your overall bone structure, size of facial features and growth of eyebrow hair, a shape is drawn onto your face for you to preview.  You will then look in the mirror and discuss any adjustments you would like.  This part of the appointment is never rushed.  Time is taken to adjust until you are ready to proceed.

HOW IS THE COLOR DECIDED?

We recommend matching the color of your eyebrow hair or within a shade or two lighter or darker.  The color is mostly left to client preference, though the professional opinion of your brow artist will be given.  We have beautiful pigments that are the finest in the industry ranging from very blonde to deep ebony.  Your desired color will be custom mixed to your desired shade.

HOW DO I KNOW WHICH TECHNIQUE TO SCHEDULE?

If you don't know exactly what you want, it is best to schedule a Blade & Shade.  This will allow enough time to do whichever technique is decided upon in the consultation at the beginning of your appointment.

IS THE 6 WEEK TOUCH-UP NECESSARY?

Yes.  All Permanent makeup is a two step process. The initial appointment is for designing a proper foundation and to see how well your skin retains pigment and how your skin tone will heal the color choice.  The 6 week touch-up is considered the perfecting session.
